A renewed appeal for information has been issued in relation to a woman who has been missing for 32 years.
Imelda Keenan, originally from Mountmellick in Co Laois, was last seen in Waterford city on Monday 3 January 1994.
Ms Keenan, who was 22 years old at the time, had moved to Waterford and was living there with her boyfriend.
On the day she went missing, Ms Keenan had indicated to her boyfriend that she was going to the post office in the town, when she left her apartment at 1.30pm she walked down William Street onto Lombard Street.
The last definite sighting of her is from this time when she was seen crossing the road by a local woman who knew her well.
The woman and a friend observed Ms Keenan crossing the road at the corner of the Tower Hotel and Lombard Street.
Ms Keenan was reported missing by her brother, Edward, the following day.
Despite extensive garda investigations, there have been no further confirmed sightings of Ms Keenan. If still alive, she would now be 54 years old.
Superintendent Gavin Hegarty of Waterford Garda Station has renewed the appeal for anyone with any information on her disappearance to come forward.
He said; "Imelda was known for her quiet demeanour, her love of music and her strong family ties.
"Despite extensive investigations spanning 32 years, the silence surrounding her fate remains unbroken.
"We continue to urge anyone with information or the ability to assist our investigation to come forward," Supt Hegarty said.
Anyone with any information that could help the garda investigation is asked to contact Waterford Garda Station on 051 305 300, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111, or any garda station.
