Actress Yvonne De Carlo, best known for her role as Lily Munster in the US television series 'The Munsters', has died at the age of 84.
Her son Bruce Morgan confirmed the news, saying that she died of natural causes at Motion Picture & Television Fund's Retirement Home in the Los Angeles on Monday.
"She passed away in my arms on Monday," Morgan said, adding that his mother has been in poor health for several years.
The actress, who was born in Vancouver, starred in 'For Whom The Bell Tolls', 'The Road to Morocco', 'Salome Where She Danced', 'The Captain's Paradise' and 'The Ten Commandments'.
She stopped making films in 1959 in order to spend time raising her family, later returning to work in television, taking up a part in 'The Munsters'.
During her career De Carlo made over 100 films, as well as working on numerous television shows and starring on Broadway.
