'House' star Hugh Laurie is set to become one of the highest-paid actors on American television.
The Hollywood Reporter says that under a new deal Laurie's salary is expected to rise to about $400,000 for each episode of 'House'.
The trade daily says that Laurie's original salary for the show was in the "mid-five figures" and his fee per episode rose to between $250,000 and $300,000 in 2006.
The fifth series of 'House' begins on US television on Tuesday.
