Following the release of her new single 'Womanizer', Britney Spears is planning a world tour in 2009.
According to Contactmusic.com the pop star phoned into a New York radio station yesterday to thank fans for their support.
When asked about forthcoming concert dates, she said: "Definitely next year and probably around the world."
Spears' had to cancel part of her 2004 'The Onyx Hotel Tour', following a knee injury.
