Actor John Stamos has credited George Clooney for his stint on hit TV medical drama 'ER'.
According to Contactmusic.com Clooney, who was one of the original cast members, encouraged Stamos to sign up.
Stamos, who plays Dr. Tony Gates in ER, admitted Clooney told him to take the part: "I haven't told many people this but...he was the one who told me to go on ER.
He added: "I think I've learned more on this show than I have in my 25 years of being in the business. It's been a real honour to be on this show."
