Singer and DJ Sonique will undergo five months of chemotherapy after two operations for breast cancer.
According to the BBC, the Londoner, 41, whose real name is Sonia Clarke, was diagnosed with the disease earlier this month and underwent surgery at a clinic in London.
However doctors found the cancer had spread and the singer, who had hits with 'I Put a Spell on You' and 'It Feels so Good', went back into the operating theatre.
Her spokesman said the second operation to remove cancer from the star's breast was "successful".
The singer has postponed her forthcoming tour dates and the release of her single, 'World of Change'.
