Mariah Carey's husband Nick Cannon has cleared up drink and drugs allegations in tabloid reports concerning his wife.

Child Protective Services were reportedly called following reports of 'drinking and drugs' in the couple's hospital room following the birth of the their twins Moroccan and Monroe on April 30.

Speaking on CNN's 'Piers Morgan Tonight', Cannon said the incident began after a nurse told Mariah about a traditional method of improving yeast content in breast milk.

'It all started where a nurse suggested to my wife that if you drink Guinness or a small amount of Guinness, the dark beer, that the yeast improves breastfeeding,' he said.

'Then they were saying that my wife was drinking beer and all that stuff. It’s like people would do anything to conjure up a story.'
Cannon revealed that after he spoke to the Child Protective Servicesand explained the truth of the matter, all was resolved.
