The US Republican debate was interrupted on Tuesday with some big news - the House of Card's season 4 premiere date on Netflix.
In a very special campaign ad, Frank Underwood announced his return to the small screen for March 4, 2016, using the (rather ominous) slogan: "American, I am only getting started."

“It’s a new day in America. Today more people will go to work, return home to their families and sleep more soundly than ever before - all because one man refuses to settle, putting people before politics. That man is Frank Underwood,” adds the narrator.
For those that don't know President Frank Underwood, who is played by Kevin Spacey in the hit series, he is the fictional US lawmaker who has schemed his way up the political ladder, all the way into the Oval Office, thanks in no small to the help of his equally ambitious wife Claire (Robin Wright).

It seems that Underwood is launching a campaign for a second term. In addition to airing the ad, Netflix had launched a hashtag #FU2016 and a website dedicated to the campaign, fu2016.com.
Not much is known about season four after the third run ended on a major cliffhanger involving the career ambitions of President Underwood.
But as the US Presidential election moves into gear there is huge scope to tease out even more scheming and machiavellian plotting against the backdrop of the real-life political drama in Washington (even if some of the recent statements by some Presidential front-runners look like they've been taken from the writers' room wastebasket).

Actress Neve Campbell was cast earlier this year, however, and rumours suggest that a young couple could rival Frank and Claire Underwood - possibly with Campbell making up one half.
Spoiler alert!
Alas there are no hints over the state of the couple's marriage after last season's shocking finale.
