Product Review: Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Lash Extending Treatment

Elizabeth Arden Lash Extending Treatment Mascara
Elizabeth Arden Lash Extending Treatment Mascara

Phew, that's some mouthful of a mascara name, but does it live up to its lengthy name?

I have to say I was excited when I saw the colour. I usually plump for the blackest black mascara, such as the heavily pigmented Diorshow in Blackout, but a navy hued colour sounded divine.

On top of the novel colour, it claims to strengthen and condition your lashes to make them fuller, shinier and healthier looking, never a bad thing!

Containing a special conditioning ingredient, Keravis, it works in much the same way as conditioner would work in your hair. So how did it perform?

The colour of the mascara is quite a vibrant blue when on the brush, which is a traditional small-ish size. But when I applied to my lashes the blue colour simply did not show up at all, even when I examined more closely in the mirror! Maybe it’s because my lashes are quite dark anyway, this might look more vibrant on lighter coloured hairs.

Despite that disappointment, the mascara defined my lashes nicely, lengthened them well and was totally clump-free. Nor did it flake off throughout a day’s wear and tear. It also gives a nice, glossy finish to the lashes and an evening reapplication layered nicely giving a more bold look.

Available nationwide at Boots and leading department stores, €22 .
