After just one year in business, Irish fabric designer Pamela Quinn has attracted a slew of top designer clients such as Carolina Herrera, Calvin Klein and Donna Karen.
Using pure talent, extensive knowledge and an enviable creative drive, Pamela Quinn has put her business on the international fashion map in an astonishingly short period and the secret behind her success is her incredibly beautiful yet original designs.
Quinnconfrey is not only a brand new success story, but is probably one of a few high fashion printed textile businesses operating out of Ireland.
By producing beautiful, on trend textile designs Pamela has managed to attract a strong fan base within the design community.
Pamela, along with her design team, creates a range of original print designs aimed at the contemporary womenswear and menswear fashion and interior design market.
The most recent collection concentrates on an ominous romantic story involving shadowy floral prints in chalky tones and decedent darks, with simple flat shapes, pixelation and photographic effects.
Pamela is a graduate of Textile Design from the National College of Art and Design Dublin (NCAD). After graduating from NCAD in 2004 she worked as a designer at well-known studios in London and New York before working as a design consultant at a trend agency in Paris.
Pamela’s own personal style and creativity, along with her strong
awareness of contemporary design and extensive knowledge of trend forecasting, has given the collection a feeling of
uniqueness, while still recognising current fashion trends.
Up until now, Quinnconfrey has mainly focused on targeting fashion houses outside of Ireland. BCBG Max Azaria, Michael Kors and Abercrombie and Fitch’s new lingerie line, Gilly Hicks are among its extensive list of clients.
In the coming year, Pamela hopes to expand her business by
collaborating with talented designers here in Ireland as well as
further expanding her client base abroad. After only one year in business Pamela has achieved more than many do during their entire career- no doubt her star will continue to rise.
