Police in Northern Ireland are working to locate a convicted murderer who has absconded from police custody in Belfast.
The PSNI reported that 54-year-old David McCord is currently unlawfully at large after having been in the custody of prison staff in the Crumlin Road area of north Belfast yesterday.
McCord is serving a life sentence for the 2003 murder of Nichola Dickson.
He was last seen on the Castlereagh Road at around 4.30pm yesterday wearing a green jacket and black tracksuit bottoms and carrying a red carrier bag.
Police are appealing to anyone who has seen him or who knows of his whereabouts not to approach him, but to contact 101, and quote reference number 607 of 16/08/24.
Police have also appealed to McCord to hand himself in.
