Italy have ended their search for Antonio Conte's replacement by appointing Giampiero Ventura as their new head coach.
Former Juventus boss Conte announced in March that he was stepping down from his position with the national team following Euro 2016, a move which paved the way for him to join Chelsea on a three-year deal.
And now the Azzurri have announced 68-year-old Ventura as his successor.
Ventura began his managerial career with Sampdoria's youth team in 1976 and has taken charge of 17 Italian sides in total, including Udinese, Napoli and Torino.
He left Torino last month after five successful seasons, the first of which saw him lead Toro back to Serie A, and has since been replaced by Sinisa Mihajlovic.
Italy kick-off their 2018 World Cup qualifying campaign with a trip to Israel on 5 September.
