GAA club wrap: Crokes power past Boden at Parnell Park

Kilmacud Crokes had an emphatic Dublin SHC Group 2 win over Ballyboden St Enda's at Parnell Park.

The game was quite even up until a 23rd-minute Crokes penalty, which was dispatched by Ronan Hayes.

The victors really drove at the Boden defence from there on, powering to a 4-18 to 0-16 win, with Alex Considine, Marc Howard and hayes again netting the other goals. 

In the Roscommon SHC Padraig Pearses had too much for Oran, who were defeated 3-20 to 1-11 at Athleague.

Moving to football, and Bray Emmets secured a resounding victory against 2017 Wicklow winners Rathnew with goals from Paul Cunningham and Cian Lohan seeing them through on a 4-13 to 0-12 scoreline.

Newtown saw off Éire Óg Greystones 2-10 to 0-12, Baltinglass were 0-13 to 0-10 winners against Dunlavin and Kiltegan edged an entertaining contest against Tinahely 3-16 to 2-18.

Meanwhile Galtee Rovers began their Tipperary SFC campaign with a 0-15 to 1-07 victory over Killenaule in Golden.
