Erling Haaland: 'We have a final every single weekend now for the next six weeks'

Erling Haaland believes Sunday's clash between Manchester City and Arsenal will be "like a final".

This weekend’s meeting between the top two Premier League teams could have major ramifications in the race for the title.

Arsenal were defeated by Bournemouth last Saturday while City beat Chelsea, meaning the Gunners’ lead at the top of the standings was cut to just six points, and a win for either team would be a major boost in the hunt for Premier League glory.

After Sunday’s game, Arsenal will have five league fixtures remaining and City have six.

That 3-0 win over Chelsea last Sunday helped Pep Guardiola’s side keep the pressure on Arsenal, and Haaland believes every game will be like a final for the remainder of the season.

"It’s always a nice fight and it’s always good to, as I said, to play against the best because that’s something you want to do," the City striker said in an interview with Sky Sports.

"It’s a massive game without a doubt. We all know the importance of this game. It’s like a final.

"Like last weekend was against Chelsea, it was a final as well. Let’s be honest and say that.

"We have a final every single weekend now for the next six weeks. It’s a massive game, it’s probably the biggest and the best game there will be, so hopefully it can be an amazing game.

"These are the games you want to play and these are the moments you want to be in."
